Position Overview for the Medical Technologist/Technician Role:
MLR is searching for an experienced Medical Technologist to join our energetic team in Pennsylvania. You will play a vital role in performing key laboratory tests essential for diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases. Your responsibilities will include analyzing samples, interpreting data, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation to support clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities as a Medical Technologist/Technician:
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests on blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Operate and maintain lab instruments, ensuring precision and accuracy.
- Interpret and report test results accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to offer insights and ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications for a Medical Technologist/Technician:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field.
- Certification: ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) preferred, but not mandatory.
- Licensure: Valid Pennsylvania license required.
- Experience: At least 6 years of relevant experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
