MLee Healthcare is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team. Located in the heart of Medina, NY, our critical access hospital is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services to our rural community. Job Overview:

The CFO will play a crucial role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring the sustainable growth and efficiency of our hospital. This position offers the unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the health and well-being of our community by steering the financial management of our critical access facility.

Key Responsibilities for the Chief Financial Officer:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize financial performance and ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Manage the hospital's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, to support informed decision-making by senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Oversee revenue cycle management processes, including billing, collections, and reimbursement, to maximize revenue streams and minimize revenue leakage.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, capital investments, and growth opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, financial reporting standards, and internal controls to mitigate financial risks and maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders, physicians, and external stakeholders to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and innovation across the organization.

Qualifications for the CFO Position:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field required.
  • MBA in accounting, finance, or healthcare / business administration and / or CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in a critical access healthcare capacity.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare finance regulations, reimbursement systems, and industry trends, particularly those relevant to New York State.
  • Proven track record of leadership and strategic financial planning, with the ability to drive results and manage change in a complex organizational environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
