MLR is looking for a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging and optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities of a Sonographer:
- Perform Diagnostic Ultrasound Exams: Conduct a variety of ultrasound studies, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular assessments.
- Operate and Maintain Equipment: Ensure ultrasound machines and related devices are properly used and maintained for optimal performance.
- Patient Preparation and Support: Guide patients through procedures by explaining each step, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Ensure Patient Comfort and Safety: Monitor patient well-being throughout the exam, maintaining safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with radiologists and other clinicians to analyze and discuss imaging results for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Qualifications for a Sonographer:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- At least one certification by the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) is required.
- 2 years of experience working as an Ultrasound Technician (preferred, not required).
- Proficiency in various ultrasound techniques and the use of equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
