Job Description:

MLR.org is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our client’s rapidly growing team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as spirometry, arterial blood gases, and pulmonary function tests.
  • Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document all treatments and interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of respiratory care techniques and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • CPR and BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
