MLR is looking for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our client’s professional rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work closely with physical therapists to implement personalized treatment plans, assisting patients on their recovery journey. Your expertise will play a critical role in helping patients regain mobility and improve their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in executing treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises and various interventions.
• Provide direct, hands-on therapy utilizing manual techniques and a range of modalities.
• Educate patients and their families on exercise programs, home care, and strategies to enhance mobility and functionality.
• Monitor patient progress, document therapy responses, and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care.
• Maintain and properly sanitize therapy equipment to ensure it is in top condition.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or a related field from an accredited program.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Mexico.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care.
