Description:
As a Medical Technologist – MLT / MT, you will play a vital role in our clinical laboratory, under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Director. Your responsibilities will include:
- Use established lab protocol to perform laboratory tests and correctly log the results of those tests
- Determine specimen validity in a timely manner
- Inform clients of recollection protocols if a specimen is rejected
- Identify, diagnose and repair issues that may arise with the laboratory equipment
- Verify all test results and ensure that they are correctly matched with the specimen
- Label and organize all tests appropriately to make sure that they are easily retrievable
Qualifications:
- Medical Technologist - MLT / MT Degree or equivalent from an accredited university (Associate's or Bachelor's)
- ASCP Certified or Eligible for Certification
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and quality control methods
- Hospital or Clinical experience preferred
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems and computer technology
