Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Laboratory Tests: Perform a variety of diagnostic tests on blood, urine, and other bodily fluids using state-of-the-art laboratory equipment.
- Analyze Results: Interpret and analyze test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability of findings.
- Maintain Equipment: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine calibration and quality control checks.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, laboratory policies, and regulatory standards to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Documentation: Accurately document test results, maintain patient records, and ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens.
- Collaborate: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate diagnostic information.
- Educate and Train: Provide guidance and training to laboratory assistants and other staff as needed.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from a recognized accrediting body (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
- Valid state license or registration as required by New Jersey state regulations.
