Director of Emergency Services
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Emergency Room Services to lead and manage our Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong hospitalist background in emergency medicine, as well as leadership and management experience.
Description:
As the Director of Emergency Services, you will oversee and enhance our emergency response systems, ensuring the highest standards of efficiency, effectiveness, and quality. In addition to general nursing care, the responsibilities of the Director of Emergency Services include (but are not limited to):
- Direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the emergency department, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and treatment in a timely and efficient manner.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in emergency medicine.
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing and medical staff to promote a culture of excellence in patient care.
- Collaborate with other departments, including radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy, to ensure seamless and efficient patient care.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff, including emergency preparedness planning and response.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and professional development.
Education:
- A bachelor's degree in nursing required
- Master's degree in nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
Qualifications:
- Montana nursing license.
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, ENCP certifications
Experience:
- 5 years of progressive leadership and management experience in an emergency department or similar acute care setting.
- Minimum 3 years as an Emergency Department RN
