Nuclear Medicine Imaging Technician

DeRidder, LA

In a Small Town with a Big Heart, You Make the Invisible Visible

The morning mist hangs over the pine trees in DeRidder, Louisiana, as sunlight starts to filter through the quiet streets. This isn’t a city of skyscrapers and traffic jams—it’s a place where people wave from their porches, where patients remember your name, and where the work you do means everything to someone.

At the hospital just a few blocks from Main Street, you walk through the doors to begin your shift as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. You know what today holds: people with questions, physicians needing answers, and a community that leans on you to help illuminate the unseen.

In DeRidder, your work doesn’t get lost in a crowd. Here, you are the expert, the steady hand behind the scan, the calm voice explaining a complex process to someone who may be scared or unsure. And that matters more than most will ever know.

The Story You Help Unfold

The first patient you see today has been referred for a cardiac scan. He’s nervous—it’s his first time undergoing this type of imaging. You talk him through it, explain what to expect, and reassure him that he’s in good hands. He nods, relaxes, and you begin the process.

You prepare and administer the radiopharmaceuticals with precision, position the imaging equipment, and monitor each scan with a practiced eye. Behind the scenes, you understand what the data represents—each image tells a story, and you’re helping to read the pages that could lead to life-changing care.

Later in the day, you’re working with a pediatric patient. The stakes are high, but you keep the environment calm, friendly—even playful. That’s the thing about your role in DeRidder: it’s not just about the equipment. It’s about the people.

Your Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Certified or eligible for certification by ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB
  • BLS certification (required)
  • Understanding of radiopharmaceuticals, imaging equipment, and radiation safety protocols
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Prior experience is a plus—but we welcome new graduates with strong clinical training and heart

What You’ll Receive:

  • Competitive Salary, based on experience and credentials
  • Full Benefits Package: Health, dental, vision, and more
  • Paid Time Off and holidays, with flexible shifts
  • Support for continuing education, certification renewals, and professional growth
  • A place on a team that truly respects your contribution and values your voice

Your Skills, Their Peace of Mind

At MLR, we believe every scan tells a story—and you are the storyteller. With your knowledge, care, and precision, you help families find answers, give doctors the insight they need, and bring light into the unknown.
