Nuclear Medicine Technologist Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
- Current certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or
the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) with a nuclear medicine specialization. - State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, including SPECT, PET scans, bone scans, cardiac stress tests, and thyroid uptake studies.
- Safely administer radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Operate advanced imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate, timely reports on imaging results.
