Chief Clinical Dietitian Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Chief Clinical Dietitian to lead our clinical nutrition team and contribute to the overall success of our department. The Chief Clinical Dietitian will provide expert guidance in patient care nutrition activities, oversee the clinical dietitians, and be a key resource in optimizing food service operations.
Chief Clinical Dietitian Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an Accredited University required.
- Completion of an internship or coordinated program approved through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required. Five years of experience in a healthcare environment and one year of experience in a leadership role required.
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
- Certified Dietitian (C.D.) or Licensed Dietitian in the State of Indiana required within 6 months of hire.
Chief Clinical Dietitian Key Responsibilities
- The Food and Nutritional Care department plays a crucial role in supporting the health of patients, employees, and the community. Our dynamic team serves approximately 450,000 meals annually.
- The Chief Clinical Dietitian is a senior leader in patient care nutrition activities and will provide essential guidance and support to the food service staff and food delivery systems within the department.
- Reporting directly to the Manager of Food and Nutrition Services, this position involves supervising clinical dietitians, assigning work, and overseeing their performance. Key responsibilities include developing standards, reviewing and updating policies and procedures, monitoring performance improvement plans, and implementing cost control measures.
