Position Overview: 

MLR.org is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inpatient Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (RN) to join our client’s esteemed healthcare team. Job Responsibilities: 

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories, physical conditions, and rehabilitation needs.
  • Care Planning: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for rehabilitation.
  • Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall progress throughout their rehabilitation stay.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed and educate patients about their medications and potential side effects.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Assist with daily living activities, mobility exercises, and therapeutic interventions to promote recovery.
  • Education and Support: Educate patients and families about rehabilitation processes, discharge planning, and home care resources.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physical, occupational, and speech therapists to coordinate patient care and optimize rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to any medical emergencies, ensuring patient safety and appropriate interventions.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices and standards of care in inpatient rehabilitation.

Qualifications: 

  • Licensure: Current RN licensure appropriate to state regulations.
  • Certification: 
    • BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
    • CRRN certification preferred.
  • Experience: Clinical experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not required.
