We seek a skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role, you will prepare operating rooms, ensure that surgical equipment and instruments are properly sterilized, and assist surgeons during surgical procedures.
Description:
Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services, this position assists with surgical procedures under the guidance of surgeons, registered nurse(s), or additional O.R. personnel. The responsibilities of Surgical Technologist include (but are not limited to):
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including arranging equipment and supplies.
- Sterilize surgical instruments and ensure that they are properly stored.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies to surgeons.
- Monitor surgical equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly.
- Handle specimens and send them to the laboratory for analysis.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program.
- One (1) year of surgical tech experience preferred.
- Current State License/Certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
