Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

MLR Healthcare is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in Iowa. In this position, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care for patients with a variety of pulmonary conditions, ensuring the highest standard of care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate patients’ respiratory needs and conditions.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations.
• Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatments as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory health and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with regulations.

Qualifications:

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Iowa.
• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
• Previous clinical experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
