ARDMS (OB) Ultrasound Technician

MLR is searching for a skilled and empathetic Ultrasound Tech to join our team in Southern Connecticut. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, upholding high imaging standards, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Primary Responsibilities for an Ultrasound Tech:
- Conduct diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular studies.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound machines and related equipment.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during examinations.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and review imaging results.
Qualifications for an Ultrasound Tech:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Certification by the ARDMS (OB) (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) is required to be obtained within the first year of hire.
- 2 years of experience working as an Ultrasound Technician (preferred, not required).
- Proficiency in various ultrasound techniques and the use of equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
