Hospital Based - 10 hour day shift position 
Up to 10K Sign on bonus for the right candidate
Relocation may be required for hours worked

The MRI Tech is responsible for the operation of MRI equipment and performance of all MRI procedures at a technical level including scheduling patients, providing instructions and performing the exam/procedure. This is a key member of the Radiology Department so we are seeking the right candidate, not just a candidate. As such we are currently offering top wages, up to $10,000 hiring bonus, relocation reimbursement, student loan reimbursement and full medical benefits.

 

Qualifications:

Education: high school diploma or equivalent and satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic training in an American Medical Association approved school
Experience: 24 months as a Radiologic Technologist and 12 months minimum as an MRI technologist or completion or a formal MRI educational program
Licensure: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist or registry eligible. ARRT registry in Magnetic Resonance or eligible, must be obtained within 12 months of hire. New Mexico state licensure if or when applicable. 
Membership in local, state, and national organizations desirable.

Skills: 
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. 
Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas. 
Ability and knowledge to adjust technical factors to obtain high quality MRI exams. 
Ability to start IV access to perform contrast MRI studies.
