Key Responsibilities: 

  • Patient Assessment: Review and assess patient information, and conduct functional assessments.
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement personalized care plans with patient and family input.
  • Therapeutic Intervention: Administer therapy per physician orders and document progress.
  • Productivity: Meet targets, managing 9-12 patient visits daily.
  • Supervision: Train and supervise Rehabilitation Technicians in treatment procedures.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with physicians, patients, and hospital staff on patient care.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on procedures, risks, and home care programs.
  • Continuum of Care: Ensure smooth transitions for post-discharge rehabilitation.
  • Departmental Participation: Attend meetings and contribute to quality improvement.
  • Supervision & Education: Supervise students and pursue continuing education.
  • Compliance: Follow all regulatory and professional standards.
  • Other Duties: Complete additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications: 

  • Education: 
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Licensure / Certification: 
    • Current CA Occupational Therapist License 
  • Skills:
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
