Job Summary:

The Director of Human Resources will be a strategic partner in shaping the future of our hospital. This role requires a seasoned HR professional with extensive experience in the healthcare sector, particularly within hospital settings. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and a passion for cultivating a supportive and thriving workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Strategy:
    • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the hospital’s mission, vision, and values.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
    • Partner with senior management to drive organizational change and growth initiatives.
  2. Talent Acquisition and Retention:
    • Oversee recruitment processes to attract top-tier talent in the healthcare industry.
    • Implement retention strategies that promote employee engagement and satisfaction.
    • Ensure a diverse and inclusive workforce through targeted recruitment and development programs.
  3. Employee Relations and Development:
    • Manage employee relations issues with a focus on conflict resolution and positive outcomes.
    • Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance staff skills and career progression.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  4. Compliance and Policy Management:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
    • Develop and update HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
    • Oversee the administration of employee benefits and compensation programs.
  5. Performance Management:
    • Implement and manage performance appraisal systems to ensure employee performance aligns with hospital goals.
    • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance-related issues.
    • Develop strategies for recognizing and rewarding employee achievements.
  6. Workplace Culture and Engagement:
    • Champion initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture.
    • Conduct employee surveys and feedback mechanisms to gauge and improve employee satisfaction.
    • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Proven track record of strategic HR leadership and managing complex HR functions.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices in the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing HR team.
