Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Special Procedures Technologist to join our dynamic team. As a Special Procedures Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of specialized diagnostic and interventional procedures using fluoroscopic equipment under the direction of a physician. The successful candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology, possess an ARRT Certificate, and hold a valid California state Fluoroscopy license.
Responsibilities:
- Perform specialized diagnostic and interventional procedures such as angiography, vascular interventions, neuro interventions, and other advanced imaging procedures.
- Operate fluoroscopic equipment to visualize and guide procedures while ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
- Assist physicians during procedures by providing necessary equipment, supplies, and support as required.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures, assessing their condition and responding to any adverse reactions or complications promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and departmental protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and contribute to the overall efficiency of the department.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Valid California state Fluoroscopy license.
- Minimum of [2] years of experience as a Special Procedures Technologist, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in operating fluoroscopic equipment and understanding radiation safety principles.
