Job Overview: We are searching for a dedicated and innovative Occupational Therapist to become a vital part of our exceptional team. In this role, you will be instrumental in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through customized therapeutic interventions. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' abilities, limitations, and goals. Develop personalized treatment plans based on each patient's unique needs.
- Education: Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies, home exercise programs, and techniques to support continued progress and safety.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Implement evidence-based techniques to enhance patients' functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, and cognitive functions.
- Adaptive Equipment: Recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology to increase their independence and participation in daily activities.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory and hospital standards.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to provide coordinated and holistic care.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in occupational therapy through ongoing education and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Certification: Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred, though passionate new graduates with a strong dedication to patient care are also encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, creativity in therapeutic approaches, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
