Position Overview: 

MLR.org is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our esteemed client’s elite rehabilitation team. In this vital role, your contributions will be essential in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting optimal recovery outcomes.

 

You will assist in implementing treatment plans, conducting patient exercises, and monitoring progress while collaborating closely with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals. Your hands-on support will make a significant impact on patients’ rehabilitation journeys.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Implement Treatment Plans: Assist in executing therapy interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Conduct Patient Exercises: Guide patients through prescribed exercises and rehabilitation activities.
  • Monitor Progress: Observe and record patient responses to treatment, reporting changes to the Physical Therapist.
  • Prepare Equipment: Set up and maintain therapy equipment for patient sessions.
  • Educate Patients: Instruct patients and families on exercise techniques and care plans.
  • Document Care: Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes.
  • Support Patient Mobility: Assist patients with mobility and transfers to enhance independence.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Ensure Safety: Monitor patient safety during therapy sessions and maintain a safe environment.
  • Participate in Community Outreach: Engage in health promotion and education activities in the community.

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
  • Licensure: A valid California License to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required. 
  • Skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
