Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oklahoma is required. ACLS and CPR certifications required. The CNO participates in developing organizational-wide patient care programs and procedures designed to assess, evaluate, and meet Nursing Care needs of all patient populations. The CNO acts as a liaison between Medical Staff and Nursing services. The CNO participates in strategic planning and preparing budget for nursing. CNO must have the ability to plan, organize and evaluate patient care services. Handle stressful situations, including frequent priority changes and workflow interruptions. Well-developed communication is required, both verbal and written. Positively manage change and conflict and apply productive problem-solving skills. Organizes, directs, and supervises day-to-day nursing activities and assure adequate hospital staff coverage and to deliver high quality care.
